A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.

An email sent to us may be retained so we can respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Riverside County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Riverside Superior Court, California Department of Justice, and California Megan's Law Website. The California Public Records Act governs requests to local agencies, subject to exemptions, while Penal Code section 11105 limits who may receive state summary criminal history from California DOJ. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's policy, including its retention and disclosure rules. Read the provider's terms before entering a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Sheriff, court portals, California agencies, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once you leave this website, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before sharing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems.

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be disclosed to:
