About Riverside County Criminal History

Riverside County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Department, Riverside Superior Court, the California Department of Justice, state corrections, and the California Megan's Law Website. Each office maintains a different part of the record. This private resource organizes the official portals, addresses, telephone numbers, and request paths so readers can identify the proper custodian before starting a search.

Why We Built This Site

California access rules depend on both the record and its custodian. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department maintains jail, booking, and many law-enforcement records. Riverside Superior Court holds criminal case filings and dispositions. The California Department of Justice maintains fingerprint-based state summary criminal history, but it does not offer the public a general name-based rap-sheet search. CDCR handles state custody, while the California Megan's Law Website provides the public registry. This resource brings those distinct official routes and their request details into one clear reference.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, with no affiliation to a California court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that every listed address, fee, telephone number, or procedure remains current

Only the issuing office, such as the Sheriff, Riverside Superior Court, or California Department of Justice, can provide an official criminal record copy.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes found on some pages. Those providers control their services, prices, privacy terms, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. Riverside County Criminal History does not determine the provider's charges or the contents of its results.
